Today’s Topic: Why you don’t feel good enough
I would guess than less than 10/100 people feel “good” enough.
They doubt themselves, hold themselves back, and constantly feel behind.
The times when I didn’t feel good enough it seemed like quicksand
- My negative self talk only gets stronger
- The “evidence” of my perceived shortcomings overwhelming me
- I saw constant gap between who I was, and who I thought I should be
Now there are many causes or experiences that could lead a person to feel they are not “good” enough. Past experiences, self sabotage, trauma, negative self talk, and so on.
Recently I heard a powerful perspective that summarized this perfectly:
The reason we don’t feel good enough is we constantly compare ourself to outside reference points that leave us feeling less than.
It could be how other people live their life compared to us, or that we think we need to prove something in order to feel “good enough”.
We think we “should” be something other than what we are. A lot of people have a belief they are broken.
In reality, you (and I) are worthy of anything we could ever desire.
We are a physical form of what some would call “God” or the divine. We are “Made in the image of God.”
I don’t think God is a dude in the sky, but I believe that we are splinters of the universal consciousness that is perfect. We are powerful creators, and only limit ourselves with our own mind.
Loving yourself does not make you egotistical or arrogant. Honestly, if it did – you are better of being full of yourself than not.
Next time you doubt yourself, remember this.
Today’s Tip: The cause of every effect in your life
You are only limited in life by the character you choose to play.
You aren’t different than an actor taking on a movie role, and assuming the traits of their character.
You’re character could be charismatic, skilled, and living their best life… or they could be in their head, stuck in place, and afraid of life.
At a fundamental level, you can never have or do what you aren’t being.
Good luck:
- losing weight if you identify as the type of person who is fat.
- making more money if you identify as a broke person.
- feeling good about yourself if you identify as broken.
It really is all in your head. If you change the way you think about yourself, everything in your life will change.
How can you start “acting as if” you are the best version of yourself today?
How are you currently “acting” that isn’t serving you?
Every single person who has “made it” decided one day to begin acting like the version of themselves they wanted to be, until it became who they are.
Do the same.
Today’s Takeaway: Get your goals in check
Education, without implementation is entertainment.
Take what you learned here today, and do something with it.
Below I’ve attached a notion template with everything you need to get your goals in check. Enjoy!
Today’s Thought: Why would you settle?

“When you know your potential, everything is mediocre.”

Be grateful for everything in your life, and simultaneously do not settle.
You have infinite potential, and get out of life what you settle for.
So, do not settle.
Strive for more, and fall in love with the process of improving every single aspect of your reality.

This week I want to introduce you to my friend Aaron.
|
Aaron has made a radical transformation since I first met him. I watched him go from lost, and coasting through life to being on a warpath.
He was working at Little Caesars, and now is on track to earn at least $250,000 a year within the next 2 years.
Here is what he had to say:
“I’ve known Riley for a handful of years now and I can tell you this fella doesn’t bullshit.
I have always believed deep to my core that I was born to do/be great in life. It never ceases to sicken me thinking of leading an average, mundane life. But, having grown up in a broken home fatherless, without direction, and with very little in terms of good role models. I Constantly had to battle with confusion and being suicidally frustrated about not only being ignorant in how to get what I want from life, but not even knowing what it is that I really wanted in the first place.
Having worked with Riley I’ve completely transformed beyond what I even imagined could be possible in doing something like this. There is really almost nothing better than being acutely aware of the things holding you back in life and the clarity that comes with it. I know damn well who I am, what I want, and the things that I am capable of.
Overall, I now have a newfound level appreciation for life that I’ve never experienced before. No longer do I hate the man in the mirror. I wake up knowing that everything I desire from life is easily achievable. I almost feel like I should be ashamed of how confident I am in myself.
Challenge is now a place of comfort for me, and all of the anxiety of life’s uncertainty just feels like small pieces in a game now, and not just any game, but a game that I’ve beat over, and over, and over again.
I know to a certainty, whoever you are, where ever you are, That you relate pretty closely to some of the things I’ve said.
It’s not just chance that you somehow just ended up where you are reading my testimonial. you could chalk it up to chance. Or, you could surrender to life and walk this path. Just know that sooner or later you are going to have to pick the road you want to take. You can keep choosing mediocrity and failure or you can finally get yourself the help you need. Get out of your own way and stop ignoring life’s call. YOU WERE BORN FOR MORE THAN THAT.”
I am proud of you Aaron, keep kicking ass my friend.
