Riley’s Raw Thoughts: Greetings from California
Something on my mind & heart:
If you are reading this I am currently in Potter Valley, California.
I wrote this last week, and am currently out of service being trained further on holding retreats.
Specifically, retreats working with ayahuasca, psilocybin, and breathwork.
These are among the only known methods that allow people to reprogram their subconscious mind… and create changes on the deepest level.
After an experience like this it’s not uncommon to see:
- 20+ year alcoholics giving up alcohol.
- Heroin or meth addicts getting clean.
- Men and Women on the verge of suicide do a complete 180.
- People on depression or anxiety meds never need them again.
So currently, I am most likely in a state of total gratitude and awe.
Never would’ve guessed I would be doing this work, and I know now this is part of my calling.
I now have 3 dates booked for retreats:
I am considering making one of them for Men & Women.
Reply, and let me know if you would be interested.
What I am building & learning:
I mean technically I am building a new business from scratch.
I am learning so much:
- Without people interested in your services or products you don’t have a business.
- Everything in business is dependent on sales.
- Skills from one business carryover to others.
However, there is one thing I am most proud of building.
Myself.
I shouldn’t be who I am today, but through a never ending commitment to building myself…
I am.
How I recently won & failed:
I recently won by showing up.
It may not always be pretty, or to the level I want it to be but I can always say I show up.
I take action. I overcome challenges. I stay committed.
That’s half the battle, and with enough time I will realize everything I set out for because of it.
I recently failed by dimming my light.
There is a quote that reminds me why this matters:
|
|
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

I’ve been playing small, and dimming my light out of fear.

Story & Lesson: Addiction to awakening
This last week, before leaving to the training I met a man named Chris.
Chris was addicted to crystal meth for almost ten years, continuing to spiral and ruin his life.
One day he stumbled upon Ram Dass, Alan Watts, and Eckhart Tolle.
As he listened his life started to change, and he began to have a spiritual awakening.
Shortly after, he had the opportunity to journey with psilocybin in 2020 and from that date onward he has not used hard drugs.
Above I mentioned the power of what I am learning, and this was a beautiful example of it.
Chris now has a long road ahead to rebuild his life, but for the first time he is free.
We talked about how troubled childhoods can lead to all sorts of pain, and dysfunction…
And how we owe it to ourselves to make our experiences “worth it” by redeeming ourselves, and helping others do the same.
No matter what has happened in your past, or is happening in your present:
You aren’t doomed.
You have a story of redemption, and inspiration waiting to be written.
Turn the page, and write a new story for yourself.
Questions & Answers: Why are you not making changes?
This week I am going to ask you a question.
What if I told you I had the solution to the problem that is keeping you awake at night?
Would you do anything to solve the problem, or would you let your fear based programming hold you back?
“I can’t afford it”. “I’m broke.” “I’m not made of money.”
These are things commonly said by people who are struggling.
I see it all the time, and I’ve even said it myself in the past.
Here’s the thing… you can’t afford NOT to.
Let’s fast forward 6-12 months, and assume you didn’t solve your problem.
Here are some examples:
- Your addiction has gotten worse, and your mental health is shot.
- Your relationship has hit it’s expiration, and life is falling apart.
- You find out you now have a disease from not taking care of your health.
- You are forced to declare bankruptcy, and tank your credit.
Whatever your “thing” is, we all have one.
Even crazier is there is a solution right now to whatever problem you are facing.
But since you “can’t afford it”… you are going to pay the price of doing nothing.
So my question this week is: Why are you not making changes?
Because again, you can’t afford not to.

Calling all the free thinkers: Join the others like you
Humans need each other, we grow and thrive when we have a tribe.
Unfortunately men & women nowadays are suffering in silence…
