Today’s Topic: The dangers of a modern “diet”

Have you noticed that the majority of people are sick?

  • Physically in poor shape, low in energy, and in chronic pain.
  • Mentally drained, consumed in thoughts, and living in chaos within.
  • Spiritually lost, disconnected, and lacking purpose or meaning in life.

It’s only getting worse, and the modern diet is to blame.

No, I don’t only mean food.

I believe we’re fed poison mentally, physically, & spiritually to feel shitty and lost.

Most of our food is fundamentally poison, and created to be as addictive as crack cocaine.

Plus we lack the education to take care of our bodies, or to eat foods that serve our wellbeing.

The information we consume is created to promote fear, distraction, comparison, and division.

Plus we lack the skills to cope with life’s challenges, or are given toxic drugs from doctors to numb our pain… not including the vices we use in secret to do the same.

Lastly we are lost. Religion has mistakingly divided people, taught out of fear or control, and more people lean to atheism or have lost their spark spiritually.

Plus in this “connected” day and age we lack connection or community to support us on our path. We lack purpose, or meaning for our lives and relationships.

It’s no wonder people are sick.

Sick in the head. Sick in the body. Sick spiritually.

What can we do about this?

I decided to create a community: (holistic.) in addition to running retreats.

For now it’s free.

Join here!

It’s created for support and resources to help you unlock your best mind, body, & spirit on your terms ASAP.

Here’s the thing – I don’t believe in living some perfect repressed life. But I do believe that our modern way of living is slowly killing us.

I like to have fun, and have freedom while still striving to show up at my best. My joke is living holistic-ish (not perfect but slowly improving).

Think of it as a place where you come to improve the peace, productivity, and power you experience in your life. Where you solve the real problems in your life.

I will fill it with things like:

  • weekly community support calls.
  • detoxifying protocols.
  • grocery lists and meal plans.
  • exercise guides.
  • guided breathwork, meditations, and yoga.

And a whole lot more.

See you there 🙂

Today’s Tip: Is your mirror smiling?

I learned that we like to think our reality (life experience) is an outside in thing.

We are taught to believe what we experience on the outside, causes what we experience on the inside.

What if that was a lie?

It is.

I heard this beautiful analogy that summarizes it perfectly:

“If the mirror isn’t smiling, then smile.” – The Shaman (huachumero) I met in Costa Rica.

Our reality is a mirror.

  • The people we meet, and how they act.
  • The circumstances we face, and how they play out.
  • The results we get, and opportunities we receive.

All a mirror to us. To our inner world.

When the mirror (reality) isn’t smiling, all we have to do is smile.

Change the cause, and we change the effect.

Life isn’t happening to us, it is happening for us and in most ways because of us.

We are far more powerful, and involved than we like to give credit for.

What can you do today to smile, and create the reflection you want to see in the world around you?

Here’s what I am going to do:

  • Express gratitude for my life.
  • Be friendly to those I encounter.
  • Remember to breathe.
  • Say a prayer or two.
  • Choose happy.

Have a blessed day my friend.

Today’s Takeaway: What if money wasn’t a concern?

Our October retreat is around 12 days away!

We have a few scholarships remaining for those that want to come, but can’t afford the cost upfront.

Reach out if this is you. (or reply to this email).

Today’s Thought: It’s all internal

Being healthy is a holistic pursuit.

I used to think if I had big muscles then I was healthy.

At my biggest (220lbs) I was mentally and spiritually bankrupt.

Now I’ve learned it’s all internal, and that bleeds out to the external.

“A healthy outside starts from the inside.”

Today’s Tribute: Rest in peace

Each week I am going to give a tribute to someone special:

  • A member in the community
  • Impactful people in my life
  • One of my clients kicking ass

This week I want to give a shout out to my friend Austin that passed away this week.

Every once in awhile you meet someone that leaves a lifelong impression on you.

That was Austin. People who have gone through hell tend to have the brightest lights.

He was full of love, incredibly genuine, and took care of those around him.

His story was like mine: growing up in abuse, drugs at a young age, and being followed by chaos.

Unfortunately he didn’t make it out – and for that, I feel a lot of sorrow.

He carried a photo of me, and some other friends in his wallet – I found out as he passed away.

Thanks for reminding me how much you cared, even though I haven’t seen you for awhile brother.

Til we meet again.

Thanks for reminding me why my mission matters, and why I started all of this in the first place.

I love you brother.
